How is your experience with mypressi and pods? (comparison with nespresso)
please don't shoot me for using pods, but they're just so darn convenient.
right now im using a nespresso machine at home and considering using a mypressi machine for work.
how has your experience been?
assuming we use decent pods (illy, lavazza, etc).. is the espresso coming out of the mypressi comparable to nespresso?
i find nespresso's espresso to be quite good... very consistent too.. ive heard mypressi's results with pods can be thin and cold with little crema.. is there any truth to this?
thank you for your insights!

I think it depends on the pod. Starbucks actually make pretty good pods, at least compared to the many other ESE pod suppliers out there. You will get best results making the shot with the lower bowl removed, so the hot water is extracted straight from the pod to the cup. This actually goes for all types of espresso.
The amount of crema and body is related to the pod and not the mypressi, whose levels of crema production and shot quality is exceptionally good.
However, we have not done a direct taste comparison between a pod and a Nespresso extraction.
